December Bronc Buck Behavior Reward! The 5th Graders loved archery tag, cookie decorating, hat making, card games, and other fun Christmas activities! Thanks to Purple Pride for helping us promote good behavior!
The BFMS Play is underway! Directors Reva Potter & Rachel Munce auditioned 65 amazing 6th, 7th, and 8th grade thespians for the March production of the three-act mystery, Magic. Results of the auditions will be announced on January 16th.

The Belle Fourche Honor Guard, who provide Military Funeral Honors during Service Members’ funerals, have also been an essential asset to our Veterans Day activities at BFMS. This group, over the past few decades, have taken time out of their schedules to visit with our students about patriotism, service, and respect for our flag. They have spoken to students in the classroom and have presented the Flag Retirement Ceremony at our school, enlisting the help of our 8th grade classes. These men are an excellent example of service to others and to their country. Student Council Members and School Supt. Thompson presented the plaque to Blaine Anderson and the Honor Guard members at the BFMS program on Veterans Day.

National Honor Society's Christmas gifting project: Set up at each of our schools (South Park, Middle School and High School). Grab a bell with a local wish item request from the tree, and please return your gift to the school, unwrapped, with the bell attached by December 17th!

5th grade students at Friday intersessions "Junk Drawer Inventions!"
Students have been learning about the Industrial Revolution in Mrs. Wright's class. During intersession last week they came up with their own inventions using items from around the house. They received patents for their inventions!

Due to predicted weather on Wednesday, Belle Fourche Middle School 5th and 6th grade Track and Field day will be tomorrow, Tuesday, May 16th. Report to the high school track no later than 8:00 A.M. Do NOT go to the middle school. Please bring water, sunscreen, and a sack lunch if you did not sign up for a school sack lunch.

Due to the weather forecast, the BFMS Track Meet on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 has been canceled.
All Belle Fourche Middle School after school activities for today, Tuesday, Feb. 21st, have been canceled. No JAM, no basketball games or practices, no play practice.
Also for 5th graders - Due to the impending weather, both field trips for 5th grade have been postponed. Again, no field trip Wed. Feb. 22 nor Thurs. Feb. 23. We will keep you posted on field trip make up days. Thank you.

Shopping for Staff and Students will be from 12:30 - 3:30. Shopping for the Public will be from 3:00 - 7:00 pm. Thank you and spread the word!
Attention students and parents of Belle Fourche Middle School: This call is to remind everyone that tomorrow, Tuesday, November 22, we will be practicing a hard lock down drill at the middle school. The drill will begin shortly after 2:00 pm. Officers from our local police and sheriff's departments will be conducting our drill. Eighth graders will NOT be attending their CTE classes at the high school tomorrow. Classes at the middle school will be dismissed at their normal time, and buses will be running after school.

Good evening. This is a reminder that all 6th grade students, ages 11 and up, are required to get a Tdap and Meningitis vaccination for school requirements. If your student has not received them, please let us know an appointment date as soon as possible. Please provide us a copy of the completed immunizations record if you haven't done so already.
